BYLAWS ARTICLE X – COUNCIL & COUNTY ORGANIZATION
Section 1. The purpose of council organization is to foster and cultivate county Constitution Party organizations. Additionally, council organizations shall provide a vehicle through which member county affiliates may participate in state party activities, receive assistance with ballot qualification, voter registration, local elections, and promote statewide, national candidates and party platform positions. To facilitate management of this task; the state is organized into eight geographic county councils which loosely correspond to our tourism districts as follows:
Council 1, “Northern Panhandle”: Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, and Tyler counties.
Council 2, “Mountaineer”: Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Doddridge, Taylor, Barbour and Preston counties.
Council 3, “Eastern Panhandle”: Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy, Morgan, Berkeley, and Jefferson counties.
Council 4, “Mid-Ohio”: Wood, Pleasants, Ritchie, Wirt, Roane, Calhoun, and Jackson counties.
Council 5, “Mountain Lakes”: Lewis, Upshur, Gilmer, Braxton, Webster, Clay, and Nicholas Counties.
Council 6, “Potomac Highlands”: Randolph, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Tucker andGrant counties.
Council 7, “Kanawha Valley”: Mason, Putnam, Kanawha, Cabell, Lincoln, Boone, Wayne, Logan, and Mingo counties.
Council 8, “Greenbrier Valley”: Fayette, Greenbrier, Raleigh, Summers, Monroe,Wyoming, McDowell, and Mercer counties.
