There is a 30-member House of Delegates redistricting team that is holding meetings around the state on these, as well as John Unger’s State Senate task force. More information on these and other legislative activities can be found at http://www.legis.state.wv.us/redistricting.cfm

Beginning in August, the State Legislature is expected to hold a special session to actually perform the redistricting. There is growing support for single-member delegate districts and seventeen separate senate districts. Additionally, the terribly gerrymandered 2nd Congressional District has significant room for improvement. Please get involved and contact your legislator and add your voice!
